The merchant tenets
What you're owed.
Eight things a processor should give you without being asked for them. Ours are written down, which is the point — a promise you can read back to us later is worth more than a rate you can't verify.
Kurepay · the merchant tenets
A rate that stays a rate.
The price you sign is the price you keep. No repricing at renewal, and none of the quiet kind that shows up as a different line on a later statement.
An agreement you can leave.
Month to month from the first day. Tell us you're going and the last month is the last bill — no term, no early termination fee, no retention gauntlet.
A price you can verify.
Every line on your statement named in language you can check against what you actually sold. If you can't tell what a fee is for, it shouldn't be there.
Your money the next day.
Yesterday's batch lands in today's account. Holding your deposits longer than the rails require is a financing decision made with your money.
An answer in a business day.
Underwriting responds in a day. If the business needs a closer look, you hear that in a day too — the silence is the part that costs you.
A person who picks up.
Someone who can already see your account, has the authority to fix it, and finishes the job on that call. Not a ticket number and a callback window.
Equipment that keeps working.
A terminal that takes what your customers carry, stays current with the card brands, and gets replaced when it fails rather than argued about.
More than a card reader.
Invoicing, payroll, hardware, financing — when the business needs something past card acceptance, it comes from the same place and the same person.
Why bother writing it down
None of that is remarkable.
That's rather the problem. Every one of those eight is what you already assumed you were getting — and most of them get quietly traded away in the gap between the rate you were quoted and the statement that turns up ninety days later.
We put them in writing because the industry made ordinary decency into a differentiator. If someone else will hold to all eight, take their deal. We'd just rather you asked them the question.
